The Phoenix Issue
Snax Magazine
The Phoenix Issue is a 122-page collection of dynamic and powerful artwork that represents the theme of survival and resurrection. It brings together talented artists from around the world who share stories of suffering, endurance, and light.
Below are a sampling of static and animated Instagram posts and stories created to promote The Phoenix Issue’s call for artists and to generate excitement around its launch.

This sixth issue was developed in tandem with the Snax brand revamp. I redesigned the magazine’s layout to reflect these overall brand updates. We also collaborated with several contributing writers, each of whom provided a unique perspective in their articles on the artwork and theme.

We made a limited-run set of save the date cards for our launch event. The design was inspired by 1970s punk rock gig posters, and we individually hand-stamped the artwork to achieve an authentic distressed texture that is unique to each card.

We created a launch event recap video for use as a promotional asset for the new issue and for future launches.
The Phoenix Issue is available for purchase on the Snax website as well as at select independent bookstores in Brooklyn.
